Brother Ted

The subject of this hub, in fact the entire hub will irritate a lot of people no doubt. Republicans will hate it, and Democrats will hate it. I could care less. I decided to start writing here on the hub pages for a number of reasons. The main reason being, to say exactly what’s on my mind. In my profile I promised to be transparent. I said that I believe that political correctness was ruining this country and that if anybody caught me worrying about political correctness to just shoot me. Like anybody, I kind of like to be popular, but not at the expense of selling out what I believe, just to get a high hub score, or a bunch of sweet comments. I love and cherish my followers. I'm a hard guy to hang on to, and they give me much more than I give them. Before I start huffin and puffin, I want to give a shout out to a new friend. This gal is a true patriot, and she kicks ass. Give her a look. You'll see what I mean. http://poetvix.hubpages.com/

We are in election mode. What that means is that at this point, most Americans know or have a pretty good idea as to who they want to be sitting in the Oval Office next November, and are waiting to vote. Whether we’re conservatives or liberals, we all know that this country is facing some very tough times. If anybody tells you that we’ve been down this road before, you should slap them. We’ve never been down this road before. We’ve never even been close to this road. Economically, the trillion dollar dynamics of this economy and its fifteen soon to be $16 trillion dollar debt makes it impossible for an economist to create any sort of working model. No matter how smart you may want to believe they are, they are only guessing. I’m not saying they don’t have any knowledge, but I am saying that they have about as much grasp on this multi-trillion dollar economy as our scientists have on wormholes in deep space.

As a nation we are scared. We run to our polar extremes on the left and right, and become enemies. We have to. Fox News, CNN, CNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, say so. We’re both blaming the other side for the mess that we have collectively made together by not doing our job as citizens. We’ve let a group of 535 people who we wouldn’t let park our car, run our country. Congressional approval is at 9% for crap sake. Honestly, what does that say about us as voters? It’s never been that low in the history of our nation, and it should make you sick. The good news is that 91% of Americans understand that we're are getting screwed. The bad news is that even though we know that, we will file to the voting booths like cattle to vote for some more people that we actually don’t trust anymore than we did the first batch. That doesn’t speak for every single person that reads this I‘m sure. Some of the people reading this actually do get it. For those of you who think that if we just elect the person or persons that you think are wonderful, this country is going to take a sudden turn towards excellence, God loves you and so do I. You are a child, and you are special. Do not read any further. You will not be beautiful any more.

Now, the rest of us are just checking this bunch out and being realistic. We know that the real work is going to have to take place after the election. What we're looking for is a guy who can plug some holes and stop some of the leaks while we get to work on the tough stuff.

It’s looking like the following is what we will have to work with ....

On the Republican side, we have a man who knows Washington, like the back of his hand, and has made some huge accomplishments as Speaker Of The House under a president who happened to be a Democrat. He is stubborn, volatile, cheated on a couple of wives, and can be hard to work with. He didn’t leave Congress in disgrace, as some would have it, but he certainly left under some very controversial terms. He didn’t work as a lobbyist for Freddie Mac, but what he did came dangerously close to it. As it stands right now, this is the dude, I’m voting for. Still keeping my options open though.

Also on the Republican side, we have a man who knows very little about Washington, but a whole lot about high-level business. It appears he’s never cheated on his wife, and has gobs of money. I’ll leave your link at the bottom that you go to in order to follow up with my assessment. A lot of people don’t know exactly what it is that Bains Capitol actually does. If you don’t know, read the link. If you think you know, read the link. This gentleman ran a company that did legally what Lucky Luciano did illegally. Let me be clear. This gentleman never broke any laws, and if nothing else, that shows you just how screwed up we’ve allowed things to get. Go to the link and give it a read. It’s a report from The Boston Globe. http://www.massresistance.org/romney/ampad_062607/index.html

There are a couple of other guys who will be hanging around for a while during the vetting process. Sadly, either one of them would probably actually be the best man for the job, but the game isn't played that way ..

So, on the Republican side, we have an ex lobbyist who technically wasn't, and a gangster who technically isn’t. Sweet.

On the Democrats side, we have a community organizer turned president who has added more to our national debt in his first 19 months of office than all of the presidents from George Washington to Ronald Reagan put together, while our nation watched its credit rating drop for the first time in its history. In his last State of the Union address, he said that the people who think this country is in decline are crazy. (Yikes!) On the positive side, this is the most charismatic leader that this nation has had since Ronald Reagan and John F. Kennedy. He’s a good father, a good husband, and has the potential to lead this nation to greatness or destruction depending on who he listens to for advice.

If you disagree with the assessments that I’ve made, I understand. It’s cool. We don’t all see things the same way, and it’s a damn good thing we don’t. But don’t let the assessment, rob you of the real meat behind what I’m laying out here.

Let’s go ahead and line up at the voting booths, and vote our happy asses off. This is a happy time. Between now and then let’s enjoy the time that we have where we can pretend that without any work or involvement on our part as citizens, that our vote will fix things right up. But after the election, let’s sober up, and for once, prepare to get involved up to our knees, not just in the politics in Washington, but at our local and state levels also. Who is your school superintendent? Do you know? You should, because he or she will more than likely be working up on Capitol Hill in 10 years, deciding what they want to do with your life and your country. Get ready and get smart.

At the Housefire Project, I am busy putting together a concert and rally billed as “The Revolution” for the end of October 2012. This will take place about 10 miles from the border of Mexico down here in Arizona. That way the drug cartels will be able to hear what we think, and enjoy some of the best rock ’n roll that was ever created. This will feature my boy Mr. Ted Nugent and his band to set the tempo and the mood. Were going to invite a bunch of cool people, including yours truly to speak.

This will be the official launching of the Housefire Project onto its maiden voyage. As time goes on, I’ll be giving updates for all you nut jobs who either are, or going to become members of our little organization. If you’re not yet a member, go to the website at the link below and get signed up. We won’t be hitting you up for any money until we get all the legal crap settled. (that can take months) At some point I’ll come begging, you could be sure that. In any case, when we do start taking money, if you can’t afford the10 bucks a month for membership or a donation, I’ll reiterate what I’ve already said, and that is that. “No one who wants to be a part of saving this great nation will ever be turned away because they ain’t got the scratch.” Be a real Cowboy. (or Cowgirl) Quit screwing around and get signed up. We need 6 million members to pull this thing off, and let's just say we've got a ways to go. Once this election is over, we need to make a whole bunch of noise, so let's get started!

Peace out.

I'm not everybodie's cup of tea. I give it to you hard, and you have every right to be upset. I understand. Be mad. Get it off your chest, but don't be rude, and don't come off like you're some kind of higher form of life. If I made you feel sad, just say so. Remember to stay on subject. This isn't about Barrack Obama, Newt Gingrich, or any of the other candidates. It's not about right wingers or left wingers. It's about fixing a government that is broken on both sides. That takes all of us. If you can't get beyond names and parties, just move on. There's a large pool of blogs out there to choose from, and there's always the forum. If you want to bash people or parties you'll more than likely get real frustrated here. I DO have some hubs on edgy politics where you can bash your brains out. Just look at the menue, pick one and knock yourself out.

Happy commenting!

I have jumped on the bashing wagon myself. You're right. All it does is allow me to vent. It fixes nothing. I have read the material at your house fire site a few times now. You have my full support, for whatever that is worth. Our nation is in big trouble from within and very likely soon from the outside. Count me in and shared on Face Book.

Thank you for the shout out! More importantly, thank you for reminding me of what's important. It's not so much what's wrong and who is to blame but how we all have to dig in and fix it, together.

Something tells me you got it right Jim. What needs to happen won't happen and that is to kick all incumbents happy asses to the curb and maybe get some more fresh faces and ideas on how to fix the mess these career pick pockets have built over the last couple of decades. Name recognition is what people often vote for. If they had experience we wouldn't be in this financial mess we're in. Most people can balance their budget but not these boobs.

I too am strongly supportive of Newt Gingrich, and I've said before in other capacities that one of the attractions of Newt is, that love or hate what he says, he tells it like it is. If you think about it, one of the guys we on the conservative side would have liked to have seen run was of course Chris Christie, a real in-your-face, take no prisoners kind of a guy who is also willing to tell it like it is. Newt may be the closest thing to that.

I think you're right to point out that whoever makes it to the oval office (in the case the republican nominee ultimately wins), it isn't going to be like having Superman come to our rescue and all will be well. There is a LONG road ahead, and there's a ton of stuff that has to be righted. It will take time, and UNLIKE the Obama administration making the claim that "we didn't get into this mess in four years and it is going to take more than four years to get out of it," I think the difference is that at least once we have someone OTHER THAN Obama in the White House we'll actually be able to see and calculate the progress. We KNOW nothing is being done by the Obama administration. That's as plain as the nose on our faces. We also know that what "fixes" the Obama administration has engaged in aren't fixes at all, and in fact are doing more harm than good.

I think the one important consideration going forward is that more Americans need to be at least partially engaged in the politcal process. There's too many people out there who simply don't know what's going on, and don't care to take the time to be involved enough to make sound judgement decisions when they get to the polls. That hurts us because it's why we so often keep do-nothing Congressman (on both sides) in office. The "R" vs "D" thing is another reason as you've pointed out before. I'm a registered republican, but I vote for people, not letters.

I've rambled on a bit, but the bottom line point is that no matter what, and no matter who (unless it's Ron Paul), it CANNOT be Obama.

Morning Jim.

I voted your hub across the board which I seldom do.

I can safely say I agree with 99,9% of your hub but as nobody is perfect I'll keep 0,1% for myself.

Seriously a great hub.

But just for a minute look beyound your shores and you see other lands that have Italian's, Irish, German, Dutch (Netherlands/holland), English, Scots and just about every other country on this earth that have over the last 200 + years wandered across to your wonderful country.

What I'd like to say is that your problems are not new to us in Europe. We seem to breed these type of people over here as quick as Jack Rabbits.

When Christopher Columbus found your Great land he didn't realise what problems he brought with him. The Spanish caused unbelievable problems along with the Portuguese in the south of the American continent, then the English and French caused havoc across the boarder in Canada.

What I'm saying is you have a country with many different cultures which have come from far and wide or as they say from the four corners of the world. You have many colours and not every colour goes with the next, you've got to mix them up abit before you get the right colour scheme.

The problems of the USA are the same as other countries or at least in Europe. It's just that with you guy's you shout louder than we do.

Don't blame Obama to much as he's just a puppet on a string, the front guy. He's the spokesman for a very lot of rich and powerful people that are standing in the background telling him what to say and do. If he was really in charge then you would have a dictator and that's what the western world is trying to eliminate, dictatorship.

I think you have a wonderful land which I have visited it many times and had a good time there as well. That was in the years of your infamous "Watergate" episode. Don't be to hard, it just takes time to sort things out. Where as in Europe we have "The good, The bad, and the Ugly" parties you only have the the "Good or the Bad". You have two choises, you either like em or you don't and tough luck if you don't like them.

So I've ranted on enough, but before I go I wish you good luck with your "Housefire Project" and will pop over and have a nosey to see what it's all about.

Take care.

The work does begin after the election, either it is a change of course or the ship will continue to sink only faster. Groups like Housefire will need to stand up, true grassroots politics to get people involved on the local level, Put pressure on the local reps, let them know how you feel, make them miserable so when they go back to Washington, they represent us. Up and awesome

Jim, as always, I love your spirit and your energy. I love that you tell it like it is.

On the polarization in America, that's exactly what the Rockefellers and Rothschilds want. They're playing the old magician's game of distracting us while they pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Newt? I don't trust the guy. In fact, the only guy that has my interest is Ron Paul. Hey, I've been wrong before. I thought Obama was a good guy. Boy was I wrong. When he had us invade Libya, I knew he was working for the bad hats. Maybe he doesn't know he is, but that's no excuse.

In 1913, the Rockefellers set us on a path toward destruction. They created a private bank through their friends in government and had a tax law created so that every citizen paid into their coffers. Oh, what a sweet deal for the greedy.

Then, with a private, central bank, they could manipulate markets, buy low and sell high and make a killing coming and going--getting richer and richer with each passing cycle.

And one master stroke was the Rockefeller support for women's liberation -- killing two birds with one stone: destroying the family unit because women were now in the workplace (indoctrinating kids, because they now depend on the government through schools) and doubling the Fed (private) Bank income.

Those are some very scary guys. They would have us all die slowly so that they can make more money. And their plan is working. They create a problem, fan the flames of public outrage and offer the solution -- a law which brings them closer to total domination -- a totalitarian state that'll make the Soviet Union look like Sunday School.

When Nelson Rockefeller was being vetted for VP by Congress, he was asked why one of his companies was supplying the enemy (N.Vietnam). To our shame, Congress bought his lame non-answer. He said that he didn't know everything each one of his companies did. I seriously doubt his ignorance. One key rule for the Rockefellers, Rothschilds and their ilk is to finance both sides of a war -- always! Always! And the Rothschilds have been doing it for over 200 years!

The Rockefellers apparently knew about 9/11 before it happened. Nick Rockefeller greedily told Aaron Russo that a big event about to happen will allow us to take over Iraq and Afghanistan. Then 9/11 happened and we moved in. Forget "weapons of mass destruction." There were no WMD's, but that didn't confuse Bush. Oops! We're already here, so we may as well stay another decade. Do you know how to spell "profits?"

And next on the agenda? The Rockefellers would love to have each of us with a microchip embedded under our skin. You would need it to buy groceries or gasoline or anything.

Revelations talks about this last item. It's called the "mark of the beast."

Oh, and though the Rockefellers helped install the Federal Reserve Bank, the Rothschilds (their buddies across the pond) had been trying to do that for over 200 years! They had it done twice, but brave Americans shrugged off that yoke, only to have the Rothschild war machine damage our country once again. You gotta give them something for persistence.

Ron Paul understands some of this (apparently). If I understand it correctly, he wants to get rid of the Federal Reserve and most of the expensive government programs which are preventing us from balancing the budget. Newt? I think he's as clueless or culpable as the rest of them.

The bad hats don't care about running up a multi-trillion dollar debt. They make out like bandits. And when it comes time to throw away the lifeless hulk of America, they will have moved on to world domination. Hail the New World Order!

Bravo Big Bro. You did hit this one out of the park. I agree, the serious work always begins after the election, but most often what really happens is that the electorate settles back into complacency and those we elected get comfortable with our money and their future. Jim - this is a great piece of work. We need to understand there are very few Saints looking for a job in Politics. A real Saint would be like a goldfish swimming in a sea of sharks. They would gobble him up on day one of his Presidency. So we are left making a choice of those less than snow white candidates.

My first question to myself is why any Multimillionaire is looking for a job that can be a thankless task? Surely he is not afraid of running out of money before he dies. Spending Millions of his own money to get elected would lead me to believe he might see a chance to get his money back, and then some down the road. The salary we pay the President would not be enough to entice most wealthy people to go all out for this job, so there must be some other rewards we don't know about.

It is doubful that many pay enough attention to what is going on to NOT vote their favorite crook back into office. Some may lose, but many will remain.

Your Housefire Project is precicely the tool we need to clean up some of this corruption. We read hubs identifying yet one more rip off of our hard earned money, we are outraged, but there is little or nothing we can do about it once they are elected. That is the role I see for Housefire. When we learn of the latest and greatest waste or theft of our money, the proposed 6 Million members of Housefire can make enough noise to be heard. Right now they just sit back and laugh at us because they know there is nothing we can do. Housefire can change that. Bring it on my friend.

Jim...

What I have discovered on the day AFTER an election is that the winners declare themselves having won a mandate and, therefore, proceed on the notion that they don't need to engage us again until the next election cycle.

You are quite correct, however. A single (usually) non-informed vote every two years will not alter the status quo one whit.

So yeah...is this my invitation to the gig 10 miles north of the border? Do you actually have the Motor City Madmen slated to perform? Will Hummer be there?

You are a rock'n Patriot my friend!

Thomas

PS...Oh...a very balanced view of the President. As a liberal I appreciate that. I will now sit back and watch the unfolding debate between Lovemychris and the rest of the world! (laughing)

Power can be a very enticing and intoxicating thing. There is no other way to explain why people who’ve done very little to demonstrate love for their country, or anyone else for that matter, would spend millions of dollars of their own money to get a job that they don’t plan on doing once they get it. You have to have an ego the size of say .. ummm .. mine I guess, if you want to be president. That’s precisely why you don’t see more women running for president. Women, as a rule, don’t have the enormous bloodsucking egos that as males do.

Thanks for coming by and giving this a read, and making a great comment my friend!

Thomas,

The Nuge and I have very similar political views. There’s a few places that we don’t line up, but those differences are negotiable when it comes to the big picture. What’s funny is that our personalities and styles are very similar. Hell, it’s possible he’s the one who actually inspired my personality. Who knows?. About 40,000 years ago, my band was one of the two front bands for Nugent, when he had the Amboy Dukes. That was the Omaha Teen Music Festival back in 73. I was a senior in high school. No, I’m a little older than that. I was a freshman in college. skuse me.

Yes, my brother, if you come down, you’ll be right next to me at the rally. You will absolutely love Mr. Nugent. He’s even more raw than we are. When you mix raw with a 162 IQ, you have pure madness!

There’s a couple of things that have to come together, but I’ve got 90 days to make that happen. I’m at my best, looking down the barrel of the gun, so this ain’t no big deal.

I’m looking forward to this, because you’re going to see a lot of people from the left and the right getting really excited together, and forgetting about those dumb ass labels. I don’t know if you’ve ever been to a Ted Nugent concert, but if you have, you know what he does to a crowd. I’ve been to 5 of his concerts over the years. It’s all the stuff I like. Great hard-driving rock ‘n roll, a pure message, and ultra-high positive energy.

Hey dude, you’re an ace for stopping by and lending the support. Don’t forget to e-mail me a link when you publish a new hub. You know I love your stuff. I don’t understand any of it, but I love looking at the pretty pictures, and it makes me feel smart when I spell out the words!

Jim, I would love to see the Housefire Project get so big and powerful the mere mention strikes fear into the hearts of our corrupt Politicians. It should reach the point where an endorsement from Housefire would indicate a candidate has been dissected and put back together and nothing was found wrong. Kind of like the old Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval. More hubs like this one and we will gain some knowledge as to who we are really voting into office.

Mike,

That’s my goal my friend. If you’re gonna go, you might as well go big. There are hundreds of political nonprofits out there, and ain’t shit happening. No use in doing it to be just like them. No, we’re learning as we go, and were starting to get this thing worked out. Remember, 4% of Americans over the age of 18 = 6 million members. A splash here, a splash there, and BOOM! We’re viral. 6 million members x $10.00 a month , all dedicated to the same thing gives you 6 million voices, backed by $60 million a month in revenue. That will make us the most powerful political force on the planet. The secret is to keep every single thing 100% legal. No gray areas, and no cracks in the foundation. With that kind of power, we can change the expectations of the people making up this great country. We can not only give them hope, we can give them power
