Taking our country back!
Note: My Hub rating dropped 4 points when I published this hub. Either it's no good or they don't like what I have to say. You be the judge.
jim aka TMWNP
Ladies and gentlemen of the Hub .. democrats, republicans, and everything in between. I've done numerous political Hubs. They've all been done of course using my famous "no pants humor." I'm not feeling very funny right now. I just read the report on the new tax hikes from this administration, which I will give to you in the form of a link below in the first comments box at the top. What ever you do .. read it.. I have done my best to be civil about where this administration is leading us. I haven't criticized the administration in particular as much as I've criticized the whole bunch of crooks on both sides, while offering realistic solutions to the problems facing our country. This tax hike is the "straw that broke the camel's back." I'M RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT.
When I was in my car accident, they said I probably wouldn't make it out of my coma, and if I did, I'd be a vegetable. After twenty six days, I returned from coma land with my brain fully intact. They said I would never walk without crutches because my right leg was crushed so severely they almost cut it off; a year later I ran a 5.1 forty. I was told that a little old boy from Wichita Falls, Texas with a drunkard dad would never amount to anything. I became a good father and the most sought after sales expert in th Home Improvement Industry. I was told that being over fifty, bench pressing 300 lbs. was not feasible. I can bench 330 lbs. People have been telling me that I can't do stuff all my life, and all my life I've been proving them wrong. I've been lost for awhile. Challenges have been few and far between for me a lately it seems. But now I'm focusing on the biggest challenge of my life. With absolutely no political experience, I'm going to become the next President of the United States. The biggest obstacle I face is finding the mere hundred million bucks I need to compete. But folks, if I can raise even close to the amount of money the other candidates have, they don't stand a chance. They won't even know what hit em. Why? Well that's what this Hub's about Hubbers and Hubbettes.
My take on Obama .
"I think people started looking at all this, and it felt as if government was getting much more intrusive into people's lives than they were accustomed to." B. Obama 11-03-2010 (commenting on democrats losing the house and the mid term election results)
Even though I'm a somewhat moderate conservative, it wasn't a slam dunk decision to vote John McCain. Even though I love the guy, and he's from our great state of Arizona, he's not the same McCain of old. Hillary impressed me towards the end of her campaign. Man did she turn into a scrapper or what?! McCain of course did get my vote. Obama was never a consideration, and it had nothing to do with lack of experience. I could care less about experience. It was because there were just too many unknowns about this man. Because of his unbelievable campaigning ability and oratorical skills, the voters looked past this. I withheld judgement and optimistically hoped for the best. Then came health care; I was so disappointed .. I felt like crying. I'll talk more about the health care thing later. But after that sham, and the *bailouts, the U.S.S. Obama (by this time in the middle of the ocean) began sputtering, burping, and running a zig zag course to nowhere. Now, after taking repeated self-inflicted torpedo's hits to her belly, the "Good Ship Obamaflop" is in flames and headed to the depths of the ocean.
That didn't take long.
* I know Bush got the bail outs rolling, and I was against it .. but Obama took ownership and put his spin on them. The pieces of this bailout are falling from the sky and are now reaching earth. What a freakin scam. Don't believe me? Wait. You'll see.
"Experience .. a word used by old men who nod wisely and speak foolishly." Og Mandino
.. The speech
Folks, I don't have political experience. Hell, look around .. political experience has brought the greatest nation on earth to the brink of disaster. What I have instead of experience is excitement, back bone, and integrity. People, I cannot be bought. I will do the right thing, every time, for this country regardless of short term costs to gain long term rewards. Our nation is losing its identity, but damn it, I will restore its identity by bringing back patriotism. Patriotism is lost when hope is lost. Hope is lost when people no longer feel the team concept. Two qualities I have is one .. surrounding myself with the best of the best in areas of expertise, and demanding loyalty, integrity, and excellence. Two .. motivation and bringing opposite forces together to create positive results. When people see positive results, they gain hope; as hope is restored, so is patriotism. When real patriotism kicks in people (chuckling) .. things happen. Three hundred million patriotic American people standing together (minus the ten percent who hate this nation .. see below) .. folks, that's what I call change. It's simple. The people who honestly love this country, democrats and republicans, have to put their ideologies aside. Learn to give in order to get, become a team focused on issues in order of priority, and a dedication towards finding positive results.
.. end of speech
DO LIBERALS REALLY HATE THIS COUNTRY?
Certainly not all liberals, but I'm afraid some do.
HOW CAN YOU SPOT AN "AMERICA HATER"?
I hate the word hate, but we'll use it for labeling purposes only. Hate is the word used by Rush Limbaugh to describe people who don't approve of, and are ashamed of our country. I'm not a big Rush fan, but we'll borrow the label. I want to note here that to accuse all liberals of hating our country for wanting to under mind its worth, you must say the same of us conservatives for doing the same by using its worth to get rich. Of course the average conservative doesn't condone any of that, but some of our leaders have been guilty of it in the past. I don't think the average liberal is guilty of this charge against them either. I don't think the average voice is heard; truth be known. I'll explain .. My uncle is a liberal. He's a very intelligent man with high ethics. He fought for our country in Korea, and is very proud of this country and what it stands for. Although we have some differences of opinion on how to make our country stronger, we both want what's best for her. We have engaging conversations, and we both come away smarter as a result of comparing ideas. Neither my uncle nor I represent the extremes of our ideologies. Now the far right and far left extremes are very vocal, and love getting things stirred up, and people fighting. Fighting is a sport, not a tool for resolving problems. If you were to muzzle up the loud mouths from both sides, I think you'd find that most of America is like my uncle and myself. It is possible to bring people together. Now back to the question of how can you spot an "America Hater"?.
I've found that the people on the extreme left who may actually hate what this country stands for, have some things in common. First, you'll notice that they attack the base of the structure .. our forefathers, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution. Like a person who plants a orange tree, as the tree reaches adulthood, the planter sees that the tree is growing haphazardly and producing less than perfect oranges, so the planter becomes angry and starts destroying the root of the tree. He or she actually believes that bad oranges come from a bad root. The good farmer knows the root is fine, the tree just needs a little pruning to produce good oranges. A patriot, whether they be right or left, like the good farmer, hold the base of our country's existence sacred, and the vast majority of us do. These people (America haters) love to bring out the fact that our forefathers owned slaves. Traditions change over time, but they love to judge something as being good or bad two hundred-fifty years ago by today's standards. You simply can't do this in most cases. There are some exceptions. For instance, shooting someone in the head because they owed you some money is a timeless wrong, but one must be careful to measure moral value in context with the period of time in which an event took place. In the 1970's, the disco scene was dominating our entertainment culture. Cocaine was a status symbol of this culture and considered an elitist drug. Today a coke head is a drug addict scumbag. While the 70's coke user wasn't a choir boy by any standard, a judgement curve has to be applied here. To sum it up, a patriot loves our country's foundation and becomes angry when he or she sees the structure above that foundation being put together poorly. An "America Hater" is angry at the foundation and blames the foundation for the faulty workmanship of the structure above. Another thing I've found about "America Haters" as a group, is that the females actually have higher levels of testosterone than do the males. If my limited hub experience has taught me anything, it has taught me that, at some point, you should be able to find at least a few of these examples somewhere in the comments boxes after this piece has been published for awhile. Strangely enough, when it comes to debate, "America Haters" actually attack the oranges, staying far away from the root, while using a kind of hit and run tactic. Watch and enjoy! These people are bitter, and it shows in the way they treat those who don't agree with them. You'll see and feel the difference in tone between a liberal who disagrees with me, and the America hating liberal. It's fun to watch these poor folks in action. There's another thing about "America Haters" being terrified of any sort of religion, but I won't go into that now as it's coming up in a future Hub.
Why not socialism? They say Jesus would have been a socialist.
Jesus was anti political. " Give Caesar what is his, and me what is mine." Jesus was the first one to seperate Church and State, and did so without one robbing the other. Jesus was perfect and set an example of how the world should work together, but generosity and socialism are two different things.(Thank you James A. Watkins)
http://hubpages.com/profile/James+A+Watkins
Mankind is fallen, and there's always those nasty little people who get up earlier, work harder, and think they are entitled to their fair portion of the pie. Socialism has failed throughout history without fail, because this is NOT the world Jesus would like it to be. You hear a lot of people who attack capitalism and call it evil. There are greedy, selfish people in every aspect of our culture who exploit the holes within any system, but it's they who are evil, not the system. Again, we don't destroy the root, we prune the tree, and that's exactly what The Man With No Pants plans to do. Capitalism, though not perfect, is by far the best system for a country to become strong on this planet of imperfect people.
Is me or someone like me electable?
If the past is any indication, my chances don't look good. Why? Because I'm so completely different from the norm. When you think about it, people have grown to expect very little from elected officials. In most cases, people feel they are making a choice of the lesser of two evils. I'm going to mention two people who've been presidential candidates, who I actually believe had some workable solutions and America's best interest in mind. I actually voted for one of them. See if you can guess which one;. Ron Paul and Ross Perot. Both of these guys were hands above the competition when it came to addressing the real problems and offering solutions. But folks, they weren't what we've grown accustomed to seeing and people are scared of a change, even if it will save their life. They had two other things wrong withthem which turned me and most people off, though I've never heard anyone admit it. They were bothhomely and had funny little voices that got on your nerves very quickly. Where I stand a chance is, although I am a change from the norm like these guys, I am a handsome sucker, I have some dynamics, I can beat any opponent put in front of me in a street fight, arm wrestling, or a shooting match, and have a great voice that tells it like it is. There is little or no filter between the brain and the mouth. That's just how I'm built. I'll surround myself withthe best of the best when it comes to matters facing this nation, whether they be democrat, or republican. They'll be loyal to both me and the American people and they'll have a heart as big as mine, and a soul as clean as mine. You can rest assuredthat as President, I will eliminate dirt in the White House when I find it, and I WILL be looking. I've got awhile to get myself ready for the challenge, and find a hundred million, but I AM the next President in training. Once I build a base for this campaign, The Man With No Pants will listen to his base, and put on pants if called on to do so. Note: The Man With No Pants name actually came about because I'm no longer in the corperate world, I live in southern Arizona. and I wear shorts about three hundred-fifty days a year.
If you'd like to be a part of the most exciting an productive change in over a hundred years in our country .. Spread the damn word people! If you want to see the words "Made In America" on products you buy .. Spread the damn word people! If you want big money and corrupt politicians off Capitol Hill and want to see Wall Street out of the White House .. spread the damn word people! If you like the sound of "In God We Trust" better than "Push One For English" .. spread the damn word people!!
Even if The Man With No Pants doesn't make it all the way to the Oval Office, we can sure have some fun, change some prioritys, and raise voter expectations of elected officials. Yea, I want change. I want to change things back to the America our Forefathere dreamed of. (witout slaves, and of course women can vote ect.)

No Pants - my friend and neighbor - Outstanding my friend. I think this is the best of your work I have seen to date, and all of it is good. I loved the part about the "America Haters" and danged if they are not out there. I have met some of them in the comments section of various hubs, and their hatred of America comes through loud and clear. Keep up the good work neighbor. I hope this hub gets a wide read prior to the coming election, it just might change some peoples minds.
Alright. I read it and I wept. I'm glad to see something finally fire up your pants! Or no pants, as the case may be. I am extremely happy to see your sponsors! Now I get the feeling that you could be getting serious. Come on, my man. Get 'em all fired up.
I have to say though, as concerns Hillary. She is not, repeat NOT a viable option. No democrat, currently, should be voted in for one reason only. At this point in America, a democrat cannot be trusted to carry on any agenda other than the one George Soros is "puppeting" Obama through. It has been from apathy that this mess was able to grow and for the time being, we simply must protect our freedoms and return our beloved country to some semblence of fiscal sanity.
You keep going, No Pants. I really want you to do this.
I want to be behind you 100% but I have to say your Hillary leanings do frighten me.
I am pumped up after reading this. I have to agree that this is one of your best hubs. You are informative, funny, interesting, and soo not boring like some political conversations. I am 100% behind you becoming president. If you are really thinking about running, lets get all the hubbers to help you. You have my vote my friend and I will support you All the way.
No Pants: I am very motivated, and will work on your campaign should you decide to run! This is the most sense anyone has made in years.
You've got my vote!
Go for it !
Jim, you've got a hard row to hoe, getting me to switch my support from Sarah Palin--even to you, dude! Though I'm pretty sure seeing you on the campign trail with No Pants might just get all the women to vote for you...so yeah, if you get the nomination, THEN I'll jump on your bandwagon for sure!
Um...if you do make it to the White House, will your entire Cabinet be required to go about their duties witn no pants as well? No gender discrimination, I would hope? Wouldn't want to upset the ACLU....
That would be a ticket I would gladly support.
It's good to you getting visceral, TMWNP; getting all the old juices flowing again.
"Ron Paul and Ross Perot" The only two candidates I have seen that I felt confident about... Both seemed to understand the concept of pruning and it's usefulness in producing more of what is wanted.
Thanks for the link to the tax increases. They are not surprising, but far from helpful.
Jim
The country is worse off then you after your accident, but you could lead the way to its recovery. You have the will and the knowledge, something that is lacking in politics today.
I will at least vote this hub up and follow you
....you know it's funny because I never pay attention to the hub points rating system - I always seem to be in the low 90's or high 80's - and I'm not making any money here - but I've met some great people like you - and although I am generally apolitically speaking - it's someone like you who can make me see the light - and the other side - which looks pretty damn fine to me - maybe you should be telling a lot of people in your country or the world - what that Strother Martin character actor once said in COOL HAND LUKE - "what we have here is failure to communicate" ......
...always a pleasure Sir and I will always defend passionately your right to free speech. Amen on that one!
Hello Jim, Well, I finally made it over here, but I can't say the hub made me want to "claw your eyes out." It was sort of like hearing one of my brother's rants.
One point. I don't think you were referring to ME as an America hater; however, mentioning that the founding fathers owned slaves doesn't mean that one hates America. I simply think slaves were owned due to greed, and the desire to work others without paying a price. Corporations would do the same today if it were not outlawed, and they just about do with outsourcing to foriegn countries where labor is disgracefully cheap.
For me, this is not a racial or liberal issue. It is a moral one. Slavery was always wrong, and greed was always greed and the cause of slavery. The motives were the same back then, and the practice was just as wrong. Right and wrong have nothing to do with time and place. We aren't talking about an issue with Ms. Manners or Emily Post, here, Jim, we are talking about working people without paying them so that you can earn profit at their expense without sharing any of it, and that is greed in my book no matter when it happened, and no matter who owned the slaves or what color they were.
I haven't checked my tetesterone level lately, but then again I don't actually think THAT comment was intended for me either. If it was, coming from you, it might even be a compliment. Perhaps you don't see me as particularly emotional or vulnerable. Since we both know better, I'll let that one go. LOL. Anyway, I'm not mad, and I don't hate America. I just think we have a better country today because of the changes allowed in our constitution, and that while the founding fathers were not perfect, they had great insight in that they allowed for the reality that our constitution would need improvement from time to time. We live in a wonderful country that just keeps getting better.
You and I disagree on our president's performance. Why do you talk as if the bail out is "Obama's bailout?" President Bush was the first to recommend the bailout when he was still in office, and many believe that if we had listened to him, we would not be in the state of joblessness as a nation we are in now. We should have passed the thing before Obama even got elected, but it was not Obama's bailout. If you're boiling right now, take a powder. Hopefully, you don't want to claw my eyes out either. Really, I'm fond of you, even though politics is not something I enjoy, which is why it took me so long to make it to this hub. I knew I would hate it, because it is political, and we differ on many issues. Still, have a good night. I have one more week before showtime on my new job, and who knows but what I may come to you for advice on how to play the game to my own advantage. Love ya. (:v
jim,
I'm returning the visit you made to my Hub. Your life experience sounds exactly like mine in so many ways one example is (I also voted for Ross Perot two times). I would have liked to vote for Colin Powell in 1996 but he was afraid to run (at least his wife was afraid).
Good luck in your presidential run and I'll be following you all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would have voted for Colin Powell. I just want to like some of the options for president- that would be refreshing. I think most of the voters who got excited about Obama and him representing change, are now reflecting on campaign speeches versus reality. I'm scared to see what Obama will do in the next two years.
Coming from a girl who was a psych major, I pay less attention to the politics at face value and pay more attention to body language and personality of someone running for pres. Obama is very full of himself. He's proabably disappointed he was only running for president, he probably wants to run the world.
I'd vote for you just based on not having to press #1 for English. The other day I picked up a normal gorcery item and had a hard time finding the English directions on it. Stop the nonsense!
On the hubscore, I've noticed my hubscore goes down whenever I first publish a hub. I still don't know what efects the hub score. I'm sure someone has a hub about it. I also think it might have something to do with you visiting other hubs too- maybe. Whenever I first publish a hub I find myself reading less of others' hubs because I'm keeping up with comments on my most recent hub. to
I enjoyed reading your sensible, level-headed approach to America's issues. There are plenty of America haters here on HubPages. I read two Hubs in the past week that were so terribly flawed I could not bring myself to even comment.
I agree with every word you wrote except that Jesus was a Socialist. This is often repeated by leftists. So often that innocent people start to believe it. No. Jesus told His followers to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, visit those in prison, tend to those who are sick AND tell them the Good News. Jesus did not say: have your government do this for you. He said YOU do it. The reason socialists like FDR and Obama want to make everybody dependent on the federal government is they don't want the Good News part. They want to tax income so high as to drive private charity out of business so the Good News won't be part of taking care of the needy. This would never be the message of Jesus. To Jesus, the Good News is what the needy need the most—not just a check from government.
James is one of my hub idols. He's a great, intelligent AND nice guy.
Yes, this title is out there just enough to get some attention and represent the truth. This is where I completely part ways and speak up against liberals. I admit to viewing them and classifying many of them as 'America Haters'. They have their own view of us (liberals) versus them (America). It's almsot like they're ashamed of Amercia because we (should) turn away immigrants and we're uneducated because we believe in one God. They have this pride about being "different" or the "minority" which to me is as ignorant as one can get. I do not associate America entirely based on the government, I associate it based on the founding priciples- that IS America. You are right about far left and right. America is about the community and patriotism of our country and fighting within these borders is a damn shame. Some liberals should be ashamed of themselves.
Great hub- I had to come back for more.
MAN WITH NO PANTS FOR PRESIDENT!!!
you listen to the crap that comes out of my mouth? Your risk buddy-lol.I inspired you? You should see how inspiring I am right now in my bath robe, smelling of Vick's vapor rub and cough drops and wadded up Kleenex next to me. Hey, wait! That makes me a dedicated fan because I'm sick as a dog and still visting your hub.
Lol. Something has got you in a rage and I am guessing it has nothing to do with Presidents.
OK I like it. I want one of those Czar jobs though. I will be your integrity Czar. Any Senator, or Congressperson who violates the ethics most of us hold dear will be disciplined mercilessly. And on live TV for their full shaming.I wrote a hub about that last year. And I do believe many Libs actually do hate the USA.But I also believe that Libs do have one thing in common with people like me who happen to be a little more conservative then them. Both sides want a better nation. We just vehemently disagree on how to achieve this. We live in a time where partisanship is so vile and ugly and hateful on both sides. And we had better get off our collective asses and go with the concept of we both want a better country and find a way to reach some solutions because the clock is ticking for all of us ! And I think time is running out !
ATR is a conservative funded PAC, owned by the Koch brothers. It is a sham and a ridiculous source to use as justification. First of all, Obama doesn't make this decision, nor does his administration. The Congress makes this choice. Now, these tax cuts were deficit funded when Bush enacted them in the middle of a war originally. They have cost our country more than Iraq in its entirety. They did NOT create jobs and did NOT help the economy. Figures prove this, not rhetoric. Secondly, Obama didn't "speed up" the bailouts. The bailouts, TAARP, were written and initially implemented by Bush. The schedule was already set; the players were already set. Obama was just in the chair when the majority of the money went out. Finally, you people gripe about the deficit, but you want deficit funded tax cuts? Obama has explained over and over again that he is for extending the tax cuts for all except the top 2%. What the fork do you want him to do? Write it in blood on his forehead? Stop acting like little kids people! You don't want him to spend money to put cash into the economy in the form of deficit spending, the only method agreed upon by damn near every single economist on the entire planet to jumpstart an economy during a recession, but you want him to lower your taxes and put the tab on the deficit? That's okay? Listen, essentially you are bitching about giving the top 2% their tax break. Nobody in Congress or the administration is saying they don't want to extend the tax cuts for 98% of the country. Not one! This is all rhetoric to get people like you pissed so the top 2% can keep even more. Did you read how Google, AIG, and the like only pay 2% business tax annually and how they legally do it? Seriously man, if you are going to run for President, you have to at least get the basic facts right. I like the no pants though. Rock on!
Politics is a tough sport.
Remember to take a break once in awhile and enjoy a sunset and a warm piece of southern peach cobbler.
I think to be elected in the USA you most likely need to be rich and/or famous. Maybe you could get elected if you have powerful support and powerfully support the supporters, but that's a risk to the supporters.
The little guy aint got a chance.
My hub rating goes up and down for little reason I can tell.Obama pretty much told where he stood, people just were not paying attention. He said he wanted to redistribute income. His wife said she was never proad of the country and he didn't even try to correct the impression.
Somebody once said we get the kind of government we deserve.
This is Brilliant. NY as a candidate with a party affiliation of "Rent is too Damn High" so why can't there be a No Pants party! Terrific hub. Keep the hubs coming.
Mr. Nopants,
First hub of yours I read and it’s a great one indeed. I agree with most of your reasoning. I laugh when members of the far left call Tax cuts deficit spending (Texasbeta). First of all, taxes as an income stream is a sham, any time a pay raise for congress means a tax increase shows how legally morbid the system has become. Liberals hate to talk about the days when government was ran by private office holders, men performed a duty for the country and after their term was over, they went back to earning a private income. Now it’s all about the Golden Parachute pensions these career politicians are after. Republicans and conservatives are greedy because applying themselves in the private market for profit is bad. It’s okay when Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer and John Kerry benefit greatly from private enterprise profits. There is no end to the lies; there is no end to the socialist machinations put up by hardcore Leftists. Let’s see what the future holds for you my friend, you might have another staunch supporter.
Thank you for your gracious response. I appreciate the plug, too! :D
Considerably, the article is truly the freshest on this notable subject. I agree with your conclusions and will thirstily look forward to your next updates. I will immediately grab your RSS feed to remain abreast of any updates
Man posing in underpants holding a gun?
Sounds like you were part of the last Bush govt anyway!
Truly Amazing Article, U r the man!!!!
sissy's hate guns!!! way to go MACHOMAN!!
I think you hate yourself first and then America more than`anyone.
As for underpants, it takes a bit of class to pose in them. Maybe its the baseball cap, the bad jacket cheap jewellery combo that's ruining the effect. Or is it those sticks for legs or that moustache that's taken the edge of your Olympian stature?
Were you in One flew over the Cuckoos Nest?
As for 'Bush got the bailouts rollin' who was in the White House when the crash occurred? Who has spent over a Trillion dollars on pointless wars? Obama bailed out several corporates who have thanked him by throwing money at the GOP. And which wealthy two faced Republicans are funding the Tea Party?
It seems to be a right wing Republican thing -throw some difficult questions at you and point out a few real facts and rather than answer you simply accuse people of being an America Hater! Comes back to that pathetic George 'the moron' Bush saying 'if you're not with us you're against us' macho posturing after 9/11.
And really, what is wrong with having a healthcare system that cares for every single one of your fellow Americans?
I think if you campaign on the quote 'Sissy's Hate Guns' it'll make for an interesting response - or a civil war. Maybe that's where it's heading using right wing logic
Obama is black, blame the blacks, the white poor are a bit like blacks let's get them next.
Glen 'bawling' Beck and Sarah 'look at me Palin' a couple of folk with a combined IQ that is still in a single figure is the dream ticket for you Mr Pantless?
Keep smiling dude and remember winter's coming so you might wanna wrap up your little soldier.
You actually bought that jacket? When you getting the eye transplants? Having expensive (yet still cheap looking)attire doesn't make you a better person Sir Nopants even if you live by judging people on how much money they have.
Me angry? not at all I'm enjoying your attempt at being funny. If you're straight can I suggest you might want to look at that pic of yours and ask yourself how heterosexual you think you look?
Our Healthcare system is fine its the the non medical business managers that screw it up.
Now you're appealing to readers to help you out on this too? You're right you can learn from a dummy.
Now get dressed and put that gun away.
Life's not about numbers dude.
Thank you for the insults they were tepid!!!
Good luck with your campaign :-)
Your esteemed irritant.
Don't let me get to you Mr NP life's to short.
Your hub is ok.
Peace.
true and I agree with your analogy of extremes missing the point.
And yes a smile has broken out
Would be hard to do much worse than Bush and much less than Obama, so I am all for you as the next president (pants or no pants). Enjoyed the hub and some of the comments as well. Jesus was in favor of redistributing wealth, so it is ok to call him a socialist
And that is very true, so when you become president, make sure you take care of children education first; so far the subject has been badly neglected and few graduates can compete in today's market place, forcing us to import brains from what we used to call third world countries
....it took me so long to scroll down to the bottom of this screen that a new president has been elected - it turns out that Obama was just a one term president - lol lol - I am so proud of you on this hub - you have been getting a lot of feedback and commentary - the people have spoken as they say because THE MAN HAS SPOKEN!!!!
And there's no two other subjects which cause so much polar reaction: religion and politics
...curious about 'The Housefiire Project' ......and about staying around ..... well there's no other place I'd rather be ......
BIG MONEY POLITICS IS THE NAME OF THE GAME IN THE UNITED STATES!The average Joe hasn't got a chance in Washington.
I find the real "America haters" are those which accuse others of being so. But this is merely a result of them watching too much Fox News, and actually taking it seriously.
I am not a conservative but I own many firearms used for hunting for the most part, but also for protection if needed. Would I ever use a photo of myself posing with a pistol? Not even if I were delusional enough to have supported Dubya twice. A very funny hub!
HA! You have what we here in Georgia call "lucky legs"! Lucky they don't break off and stick up your ass! LOL!
No, you probably will not like my hubs too much. Not enough blame for America's problems on them!
Thanks
Randy
LOL! At you calling me a nerd! And sorry, but this isn't your site! Your pages perhaps, but definitely not your site. And anyone disagreeing with you is an America hater so don't worry about me commenting on any of your crappy little rants, they are so ridiculous they deserve no notice anyway.
If nerds are those who have extensive martial arts training and tournament experience, are expert marksmen and survivalists, as well as being able to repair most mechanical and electronic items, pilot fully aerobatic aircraft, skydive, hunt, fish, compete in golf and tennis tournaments, then call me a nerd if you like! Not going to ask what your qualifications are! LOL!
Sure, I have fought outside of tournaments! And bragging about killing someone is not anything I would be personally proud of or would care to advertise! And being called a nerd or anything else by someone of your intellect doesn't bother me in the least! LOL! I heard they lowered the qualifications for getting into the military and now I know it is true! Bye bye sweetie pie!
A stalker? What a joke! You know very well I saw your comments on the other hub and came here to read one of your hubs. Those who call others who do not agree with them "America haters" deserve what they get! Just because I disagree with you does not mean I think you hate our country. But perhaps you may enlighten me as to why you think the left wants our country to fail?
I have observed you calling others A-holes, morons, idiots, (I was a nerd and now a stalker and creep) among other choice names on your comments and hubs. Why don't you and the other "Hubette" just remove the comments capsule and you don't have to deal with dissent, answer difficult questions, or hear dissenting views?
Would you like it better if I called others names as you do? Or is it just okay when you do it? Oh yeah, you aren't too keen on answering questions either! LOL!
Jim, love your hubs. I just found out about Randy on another hub. I believe we are talking about the same awesome hubber that Randy insulted. It only took about five words for me to figure out his character. Keep up the good stuff and I have your back when you need it (not that a Seal needs it).
"I tend to tell it like it is, at the same time, I have an adult life spent defending your right to say what you want."
From your profile page, JT! Thanks for defending my rights! LOL!
Do you laugh at the sacrifices that Jim and I have made sacrificing your right to insult and hate? Or do you somehow think that we have attacked your right and censored you? Which one is it? What exactly do you mean by LOL? Is that just pathetic attempt to defend your lack of character? Inquiring minds want to know?
Thank you Jim, I appreciate that, especially the "young" part. Not many people call me that anymore! I found your writings through Old Poolman. He is awesome, isn't he?! I am anxious to see if Randy has the enough groin area fortitude to comment back.
Laugh at your sacrifices? Nothing to do with your military background at all, JT! My father landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day, perhaps you may have heard of the place? I'm quite sure it didn't compare with the tough battles you and no-pants have been through, but then again, he didn't brag about killing other human beings nor did he think he was right about everything just because he was in the military.
Oh yeah, he fought under Patton in the Battle of the Bulge and then went on to help free the Nazi death camp victims. I had the pleasure to know many of his fellow company members who fought with him through these battles. Yes, I am older than both of you and apparently have different ideas on honor and freedom.
But then again, Viet Nam was a different war....
Now I have claimed to be badder and had it worse than any other veteran in the history of the US. And he still avoids the question. Have I bragged about killing any one?
Randy, of course I have heard of the place. I am a student of history. You do not have exclusivity on having a lineage of Veterans. So why the laugh Randy. What is it you think so funny? Does having a Veteran father allow one to be a smart *ss?
No more than being in the military entitles one to be a dumbass, JT! I laugh at the inanity of those who have to resort to their military duty for some semblance of respect.
Both you and no-pants are proud of being present or ex-military and I have no problem with that. But to use your military experience as some sort of voucher for your opinions is just plain ridiculous. You spoke of McVeigh (not sure about the spelling) on the other thread, or am I mistaken? Was he ex-military? Should I judge all ex-military men by some examples?
Do yourself a favor, get rid of the military backed opinions and discuss things without bringing your service into it. I am not angry at either you or no-pants, I would have to take you seriously to be so! Peace!
Please point out where I bragged of being a "bad ass with martial arts," no-pants!
LOL Jim, it won't be my first one on Hub pages. I had caught that bragging thing earlier. I am not sure it was bragging on your part. No more than I use my military experience to back my opinions. I voted for Reagan before I was ever in the military. I have been conservative for as long as I remember. No problem. I guess I will never understand where some get the reasoning (or lack there of) for their arguments.
LOLOL! You are the one out of control, Sweetie Pie! I don't blame you for not wanting to allow my comments, though! Too close to home!
Ta Ta!
OMG, I just got done reading all these comments... scary, I think you might have a stalker there Jim, and I do apologize for bringing him into your life. Stalkers can be dangerous let's just hope he doesn't start sending you letters next "sweetie pie".
You guys are funny as hell! Because someone responds to your inane hubs you call them a stalker! HAHAHA! Tea anyone?
Sobber up? What the heck does that mean, no-pants? You can simply not allow my comments if they bother you, you know!
And I have no problem with you having the last word either! Surely you didn't expect to post about a controversial subject and have everyone agree with you, did you? And as far as you continuing to call me and others names, doesn't worry me in the least. It's a common ploy of those whose arguments do not hold water.
Have your last word and I may or may not respond depending on if I need another laugh or two. But it is hard to take a person wearing no pants and holding a pistol very seriously. Y'all take care now, ya heah! LOL!
No need to thank me for the page views, you need em!
Jim, I didn't know you running for President would be just a controversial issue.
Like I said, no-pants, you need the views! LOL!
Randy:Sure, I have fought outside of tournaments!
Translation: I got my ass kicked everyday on the way home from school.
Jim I believe you.
Oh, you want to play some more, JT? Cool!
JT:"Inquiring minds want to know?"
Translation: Duh?
Randy, I never tire of dealing with an idiot. I am still waiting for a response on Rachell's hub, or are you still trying to sound clever while dodging a question.
It just occurred to me, Randy could run for President.
Sorry JT, didn't know you posted one on the "awesome hubber's" page! I will certainly run right over!
Oh BTW Randy, I never play. I was kicked out of third grade because I hated recess.
I find that hard to believe, JT! You seem like such a fun guy!
Thank you, Randy, I am a fun guy.
Jim, can you hear the adsense KA_CHING!!!?
I think you probably are, JT! I do not judge everyone just by their political or religious bent! Despite what you think! Later on! If no-pants gets another red arrow on this hub he may get arrogant! (I wanted put a LOL on the end but I know how you guys hate it)
OMG Jim! Is that a Honey Blonde strat I see in that picture at the bottom? SWEET! I had one, didn't like the little neck on it, so I sold it instead of swapping the neck, like a DUMB*SS. I am jealous my friend!
Very bright of you, no-pants. Do you often challenge those whose abilities you have no idea about? Not very big on strategy are you! I agree it would be fun though, I always wanted somebody to beat my ass! HOO!
Dammit, we three have something in common after all! I have a Strat and a Telecaster! My first electric guitar was a new 72 Strat! Made a lot of money with that guitar!
Had a 72 Les Paul, traded it for a Jazz bass which eventually got stolen! Now that did whip my ass!
You are right, no-pants! Music is a universal language! Gonna crash now, enjoyed the jawing!
PS-I don't post my photo at the request of my wife! I'm way more afraid of her than of you guys!
I am not sure how many strats I have anymore (lost count). They are strats in style only as I have built all the ones I have. I have two SRV strats I have built. I only have one tele right now. It is a shoreline gold with the f holes. I probably have some twenty guitars in all. I have a 1966 Vox Bulldog, I have a Vox spitfire body I am restoring. I have a 1957 silvertone U1 (not a re-issue danelectro) I also am restoring another U1 body, i don't know if it was a a Dano or a Silvertone. I have a 65 Kay Bobcat also.
While I was in Iraq in '05, I went crazy on ebay and had oodles of guitar bodies waiting on my return. I have been putting them together since and still haven't finished. Last count I think the strat count was five.
I have quite a few collectors but I insist on playing them. I am not all anal about scratching one up (I call them character marks) I want to get my hands on some John Mayer "big dipper" pickups or some seriously underwound single coils. Guitars and coffee are my passions (passion is a weak word here).
Randy may be pretty smart after all! I always thought I was a bad-ass until I got married! I have learned today I can be an asshole, but I am not an asshole if you know what I mean. To Randy's credit, I was able to find common ground with him, which is something I haven't been able to do with some others I have gotten into pissing contest with. I too believe in what I stand in, maybe my wife is right when she says I am bull-headed. That can be a very good thing too, I always called it courage of my convictions!
Jim, I think that is the wisest thing either one of us could have said. I guess that's one of the keys to surviving this crazy planet, trying to learn a little bit every day.
I don't believe I have told you thank you for your service yet. Rude of me! Thank you, Jim, from the bottom of my heart. I learned a lot of respect for Seals during my time in the Corps. You guys are the creme de la creme of the elite branches. Thank you, as well, for your service on Hub pages too.
I believe we got off on a wrong foot with Randy, but with some wisdom, maturity, and words, I think the three of us got on a common plain. We all have to share this crazy world together. The yous the mes and the Randys. I may be coarse, but I don't hate. I have found a sense of respect for Randy. I am inviting him to check out my hubs and leave feedback, agreeing or disagreeing. Hell, even when we were acting like a bunch of kids, got to admit it was kinda fun. Of course, we are a little sick like that sometimes! LMAO!
@JT and NP-I too am glad we found common ground in some form! And, as I have stated previously, I do appreciate your service to our country! Sometimes the things we experience in our lives have both positive and negative consequences! It is up to us to learn from both!
Sorry about your friend, NP! I know you treasure the damaged guitars he left behind. If I can help either of you with your efforts here, please feel to ask.
Randy
Jim, it is nice to see everyone found some common ground, now if we could just have that with everyone maybe things wouldn't be so awful in this world.
No Pants,
I love your hub, it fits right along my way of logic. The Hillary thing DID scare me, but I read later here, where you cleared that up.
I'm not sure if the "No Pants Party" name will work, but, it may need tweeked for the family values crowd..... I'm a fan, and will check our more of your hubs.
:)
There really is nothing letft to say....except your awesome. Please let me know when you plan on running for office because I WILL do whatever I can to help your campaign. look at ALL these people just on hugpages that love you!! You WIIL get there, thats a fact. Please bring us back, get us back to what our forefathers wanted this "great nation" to be! Because, they would be embarrasssed of what we have become...
Jim
I got back here from the Old Poolman link on his hub.
This hub deserves more than an 85.
I rating it up.
Why didn't you post either my email or my post ," no pant's ", is it because i oppose you, you want to be president?" you will not even divulge your name? is that because people can google your name and find out what pants you really wear?,or not?I am a conservitive also but we do not need people that hide their identity
why the hat in your apartment? male pattern baldness??>
You have my vote! We need a fighter for America with a fire lit under him/her. This sure is it :)
OK Sweets, I am not reading your hub today, because I don't have time. I think my mother in law is finally good to go to Florida after two weeks adjusting to a diagnosis of congestive heart failure. I have been overwhelmed with all that is required to care for her and now we head to Florida Thursday for another week of her bidding.
ANYWAY, the reason I am writing in this hub is because I saw a country singer this morning introduce his award nominated song Home. It talks about how our differences (yes, even politically) make us stronger and how we need to come together as a nation because we all love our country and wish to make her strong. (HER strong- love that.) I thought of you, because you and I do not see things from a similar perspective, but I do appreciate your heart.
BTW, I was born on Abe Lincoln's birthday.
